Shirley Temple’s rare fancy deep blue diamond ring to be auctioned by Sotheby’s

Shirley Temple was one of Hollywood’s most famous child actors. A 9.54-carat Fancy Deep Blue diamond ring was given to her by her father. It was originally purchased for $7,210 in 1940, around the time of the actress’ 12th birthday and when her film “The Blue Bird” premiered.

Sothebys is going to auction the awesome specimen starting at $25 million on April 19 as part of Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels sale. Its estimated to be valued between $25 million and $35 million.

Winning legions of fans as a curly-haired,  bouncy young star in the 1930s . The child actress went on to become ambassador Shirley Temple Black. Temple died in 2014 at the age of 85.
