This one of a kind Contra Luz Opal with Jasper Inclusions is our January Gem of the Month! The 4.6cm wide Opal was found in Oregon.

The transparent and breathtaking opal pendant appears to have a planetary cloud trapped inside. The clear and crystal body has  stunning gem quality. Contraluz is a a type of opal where you see the play of colors suspended inside by illuminating the back of the stone.

Mineral formations create the intricate internal patterns. In most opal the light has to fall on the front of the stone to see the play of fire. It is described as ‘suitable for mounting as a stunning and unique pendant.’
