The Oceanwiew Miners opened the Famous 49er Pocket  just recently and we found some stunning treasure! Our historical mine allows you a unique view of one the only actively working underground mine in California.

Located just under the famous Kahuna II we found beautiful Spodumenes and Tourmalines.  This pocket is looking to be one with great promise!  Many different tourmaline are found here in the Oceanview Mine. The most common form seen is black tourmaline, called schorl. We also get green, deep red, pink, purple, blue and multi-colored tourmalines. The Oceanview Mine has a much wider variety of colors than are typically seen in any single mine.

We will be sure to update you on any findings in this cool new pocket. Don’t miss out on getting some of your very own crystals. Amazing crystals like these will be on the pile so come on over and get digging.
