Back in 1820, 2 men went hiking about 28 miles North of Downtown Portland, Maine. They stumbled upon and discovered Maine Tourmaline crystals for the very first time. From then on tourmaline has been mined throughout the great state of Maine. This awesome video shows men finding handfuls of these green tourmaline crystals in the summer or 2013. Not a bad for a days work!
