Chrysoberyl is a very hard and durable gemstone. It comes in different forms and can be very valuable. Chrysoberyl is most often light yellow colored, with other specimens being brown green or orange. The two most popular forms of Chrysoberyl are Alexandrite and Cat’s Eye, however Cymophane is another less popular variety.  Brazil has the most significant deposits of Chrysoberyl.
